Terms & Conditions

1. About Us
Little and Lux Travel Co. is the independent travel advisory business of Mellissa Willems, an independent travel advisor affiliated with Fora Travel, Inc.
In these terms, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Little and Lux Travel Co. “You” and “your” refer to the client purchasing our planning services or authorizing travel arrangements.
We provide travel research, planning, and booking assistance. Airlines, hotels, cruise lines, tour operators, transportation providers, and other suppliers deliver the travel services you purchase.
2. Your Responsibilities
You must be at least 18 years old to engage our services and have permission to make arrangements for any travelers included in your booking.
You agree to provide accurate information, including legal names, dates of birth, travel preferences, and relevant requirements. Please promptly notify us of any changes.
You are responsible for reviewing proposals, confirmations, payment deadlines, and supplier terms before approving a booking.
3. Consultations and Planning Fees
Initial consultation
Your initial travel consultation is complimentary.
Cruises, all-inclusive vacations, and simple hotel bookings
A $100 planning deposit is required before research begins. This deposit covers the time spent researching and preparing your travel options.
The deposit is refunded once your booking made through Little and Lux Travel Co. is paid in full.
Once research begins, the deposit is nonrefundable if you:
-
Decide not to book.
-
Book independently or through another provider.
-
Cancel your booking before final payment.
This planning deposit is separate from any supplier deposit or travel payment.
Custom and complex travel
Custom itineraries, multi-destination vacations, and complex group arrangements may require a separately quoted planning fee. The amount, scope of work, and applicable refund terms will be provided for your approval before research begins.
Any additional advisor fees will be disclosed and approved before the corresponding work is performed.
4. Quotes, Availability, and Confirmation
Prices are quoted in U.S. dollars unless otherwise stated. Rates, availability, exchange rates, taxes, and supplier charges may change before a reservation is confirmed.
A proposal does not secure a reservation. Your booking is confirmed only after the supplier accepts the reservation and any required payment.
Only items expressly identified as included in your proposal or confirmation are included in the quoted price.
5. Payments and Authorization
Supplier deposits and final payments must be received by the deadlines provided. Late or missed payments may result in cancellation, loss of a reservation, or supplier penalties.
Payments will be made through the supplier or an authorized payment process identified in your booking instructions.
You must be an authorized user of any payment method provided. Charges will be made only with your authorization.
Please notify us promptly of a billing concern so we can assist. Nothing in these terms restricts your rights under applicable billing or consumer protection laws.
6. Supplier Terms
Each supplier has its own terms covering deposits, cancellations, changes, refunds, no-shows, and travel services. These terms will apply to your reservation and should be reviewed before booking.
Little and Lux Travel Co. does not control suppliers’ operations or decisions. We will assist with communication and requests, but cannot guarantee a supplier’s response, refund, or alternative arrangements.
We are not responsible for managing reservations made independently of our services unless we agree otherwise in writing.
7. Changes, Cancellations, and Refunds
Please submit change or cancellation requests in writing as soon as possible. A request is not complete until it has been processed and confirmed by the relevant supplier.
Supplier penalties may apply and can include the full cost of a reservation. Refund eligibility, processing, and timing depend on the supplier’s terms and applicable law.
Our planning deposit and planning fee policies are separate from supplier cancellation and refund policies.
8. Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is not included unless expressly stated and purchased.
We recommend considering coverage appropriate to your trip including but not limited to trip cancelation, medical coverage, etc.. Coverage, exclusions, eligibility, and claim decisions are determined by the insurer and the policy purchased. No policy covers every situation.
If you decline insurance, you remain responsible for costs that are not otherwise refundable or recoverable.
9. Travel Documents and Entry Requirements
Each traveler is responsible for obtaining and maintaining the documents required for their itinerary, including identification, passports, visas, transit permissions, and any required health documentation.
Requirements vary by destination, nationality, transit route, and supplier, and may change. Check the relevant government and supplier requirements before booking and again before departure.
Names on reservations must match the identification used for travel. Review all documents promptly and report errors immediately.
For children traveling internationally, verify any applicable passport, custody, and parental consent requirements.
Denied boarding or entry may result in additional expenses or loss of travel payments, subject to supplier terms and applicable law.
10. Special Requests and Travel Benefits
Please tell us about accessibility needs, dietary requirements, and other important requests early in the planning process.
We will communicate requests to suppliers, but fulfillment must be confirmed by the supplier.
Upgrades, early check-in, late check-out, credits, and other travel benefits depend on the property, booking program, rate, and availability. Only benefits expressly confirmed for your reservation should be considered included.
11. Travel Disruptions and Our Role
Weather, natural disasters, government actions, illness, labor disruptions, supplier failures, and other events may affect travel.
We will provide assistance within the scope of our agreed services. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted travel or control services provided by independent suppliers.
Responsibility for supplier services rests with the applicable supplier, subject to applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or remedies that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Privacy
Personal information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy and shared as needed to provide requested planning and booking services.
Relevant suppliers, Fora, and other service providers may also handle information under their own privacy policies.
13. Acceptance and Updates
These terms will be provided for your acceptance before paid planning or booking services begin. Any separately agreed planning scope or fee terms also form part of your agreement with us.
Updated website terms apply to future engagements. Changes to an existing agreement require your agreement or another lawful basis.
If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
